VIVIAN'S FINE FABRIC ART

Although this time I am not presenting a Mexican Art theme, I want to introduce to you a very nice friend of mine that does unique fabric plates here in Louisiana.

I am inviting Vivian to form part of our website because since I saw her plates, they really got my attention and  I realize how beautiful they are.

As we are living in the Louisiana Area, I want to give credit to those in this beautiful land that has seen Vivian develop this wonderful art that I want to share with you .

Vivian Benoit has been crafting Fabric Art for many years, and has perfected the craft into a genuine art form. All of the pieces are created by hand and are very unique.

By Applying designer Fabrics (formed and Cut) to clear plates, the Art comes to life. The plates are high quality French Glass and are rimmed with 18k Gold.

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION FROM  VIVIAN BENOIT

I have always loved Fabrics. Since I was a young girl I have liked to sew and make my own clothes. Later in my life I wanted to create Art with fabric and tried many different things. But the Art that stood out from all of the rest was the plates. When I began using Plates I knew I had something special. I started selling my Plates in a antique store with great success. Then my Husband passed away and my world collapsed around me. I went back to making my plates and found it very comforting, and I used it as a form of therapy to overcome my loss. Today I fill all of my time producing and selling my Plates. 

I would like to thank my friend Leticia for allowing me to use her beautiful website to introduce my art work to you.
