Wholesale Terms and Conditions
Upon request we send catalogs and wholesale list prices. |
Once the order is placed we submit a Proposal for your Approval. |
Once approved, we conduct business in the following fashion. |
We ask for half down (of the total amount purchased) to send the money to the artisans. Once this amount is given to the artisan is not refundable as the artisans use the money to purchase the raw material to start production. Estimated production time is 1 month1 from the time we send the order. |
Once production is complete, we are advised by the artisan and we then require the outstanding balance for the merchandise be paid in full. These monies are then sent to the to pay (in full) the artisans that are participating in the project. |
Once the artisans have been paid the order will be prepared for shipping. We require 10% of the total amount to be sent to cover preparation,and handling. This money will be sent in full to Mexico to pay for the expenses of wrapping material, such as double wall boxes, bubble wrap, shredded paper, labor and consolidation (moving products from the different regions where they are made to the point of consolidation). The wrapping of the pieces normally takes 15 days to be ready (including consolidation). |
Broker Fees. In this type of business we need two types of Brokers, the Mexican Broker that receives the merchandise and does the paper work to cross the merchandise and the American broker that receives the merchandise on the border once it has crossed. This is a fixed amount of $350.00 (covering both brokers). |
The last expense you have to cover is the cost of shipping the goods door to door by Yellow Freight Transportations (or similar company). These fees normally change depending where we consolidate (Mexico City, Guadalajara, Dolores Hidalgo), the amount of merchandise we are bringing, weight etc. and its destination. It is never the same and we provide the amount once we know how many boxes, sizes and weight we are going to load on a truck. We pass on to you the 65% discount we have with them (achieved after 8 years working of with them). It is important to understand that we do not make money on the shipping charges or any expenses associated with the shipping of the merchandise. |
All these fees must be settled before we can start bringing the merchandise. |
For every amount received we will send a receipt to you. This is to document the money you have entrusted to us. All merchandise has to be totally covered (as well as the expenses) before moving the merchandise from Mexico City (or consolidating city). |
Once we are paid in full, we will give the tracking number to you, to allow you to track the merchandise all the way to you. |
1 While we do make every effort to push the Artisans to complete the order quickly, we cannot guarantee it will done within 30 days. As this merchandise is made by hand, we are limited to the capacity of the Artisan. Also, we are not willing to sacrifice quality for Speed.
