AZTEC AND MAYAN IDOLS
The Aztec and the Mayan tribes had a lot of gods, and many of
them were represented by sculptures made from volcanic rocks, and pottery.
Now a days, those sculptures (representing gods) are shown in Museums in
Mexico.
One of the most famous one is in Mexico City and it is called The
National Anthropological Museum of History. Inside of this Museum you can
see several rooms and all of these different rooms represent a
different culture. The most visited ones are the Aztec and the Mayan.
Some of the idols (as well as pottery) that you are going to see here in this website are
replicas of the originals that are held in that beautiful
museum.
Now a days, artisans have modernize themselves a lot, giving life to nice
pieces like the ones shown in this page.
