RELIGIOUS PICTURES

JESUS, MARY, VIRGIN OF GUADALUPE,

AND ALL SAINTS.

Mexico is very religious. We are mainly Catholics and we believe too much in God, Jesus, The Virgin Mary, in their many ways as , The Virgin of Guadalupe in our case.  God sent her in 1547 to stay and be the  Mother of all Mexicans, She was to be call Virgin of Guadalupe that means " that, that can defeat the devil".

The story of our Virgin of Guadalupe is really nice. Here is a short version.

One day a Mexican Indian called Diego was walking near the place called Tlatelolco (that still remains, being part of Mexico City) and all of the sudden a beautiful young lady covered with the spender of the sun and dressed with a blue tunic that was covered with stars, appear to him.

This young lady told the Indian that she was the Virgin Mary, mother of God and her name was Guadalupe and that she would like to have a shrine built for all Mexicans for them  to be able to go and pray there for all their necessities.

He went, very obedient to the Bishop at that time called Fry Juan de Sumarraga, Spanish nun that was the Bishop at that time, but he didn't believe him and respectfully told Diego to come some other day . He went back home very sad and the next day he went to the same place, Tlatelolco, to see if he could see the Lady again, and sure enough their she was.

Diego explained to the Virgin of Guadalupe that the bishop didn't believe him and to send someone else higher in rank than him to give the word to the bishop. Guadalupe insisted that he had to be the one and once again Diego went to the Bishop and told him the wish of the Virgin of Guadalupe to make a Shrine where all Mexican could go and pray for their necessities, and he told the Indian to bring a prove of what he was saying.

He went back to the Lady of Guadalupe and told her what the Bishop wanted and she gave the prove to him. This time when Diego was in front of the Bishop, he told him that he had the prove that he wanted and all of the sudden he uncovered the tunic that he was wearing and beautiful roses came out of there plus a beautiful image of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

The Bishop, when he saw the beautiful image on the Tunic, he kneeled in front of her and apologized to Diego for not believing in him and started to do the Shrine of Guadalupe.

Up to date  we still can see the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe at the  beautiful Shrine of Guadalupe. This Shrine is visited by millions of people all over the world, specially by the faith of Mexicans that come everyday to ask the Virgin of Guadalupe for miracles of health, finances and others. The Virgin Mother of God always listens and help their people right away.

Also Mexico have faith in Saint like St. Jude, Sacred Heart of God and Mary, St. Charbell, Holly Family and others that you can purchase here through our site.
